Google Launches Chrome 9
Recently, Google launched new stable version of Chrome Browser
Recently, Google launched Chrome 9. The latest stable version 9.0.597.84 of the browser comes merely two months after the release of Chrome 8 and supports all platforms. The new version introduces Chrome Instant, similar to the Google instant feature. The feature loads frequently visited websites by Internet users as they type a Unique Resource Locator (URL). Internet users may benefit from the new feature by enabling the Instant option under the basics tab option of the browser. The latest version enhances the 3D experience by introducing WebGL technology. Users are not required to install any additional software and experience 3D within the browser. Chrome users in United States (U.S) may now explore new applications, extensions and themes for the browser by visiting the Chrome Web Store.
Information security professionals at Google have also mitigated nine vulnerabilities including one critical and two high risk vulnerabilities in the stable version. The critical vulnerability is associated with race condition in audio handling. The high risk vulnerabilities patched include use-after-free in image handling, browser crash when handling printing in PDF handler.
Usually, ethical hacking is used by developers to identify vulnerabilities. In this case security researchers affiliated to various organizations identified the vulnerabilities.Internet users and organizations must keep track of the latest patch releases, security updates and version upgrades to safeguard their computer systems and networks from intrusions and unauthorized access by cybercriminals.
