http://www.hesleygroup.co.uk is in full support of a report published in East Sussex which outlines the need for more recruitment support for those who are autistic.
(prHWY.com) December 20, 2012 - Doncaster, United Kingdom -- The survey, which was published in early December, highlights the fact that far more can be done to help individuals with the condition to find employment.
The county council ran the survey to analyse the opportunities that exist in the region for young people and adults with Autism so that they can look at ways to allow them to live more rewarding and fulfilling lives. This was done through a range of workshops and a number of submissions were also made to the council.
In response to this research, East Sussex County Council has planned an Autism Partnership Board which will convene in the spring. The purpose of this is to discuss matters such as the above and take action in order to increase and improve the opportunities available for Autistic individuals. This will culminate in the publication of an Autism Commissioning Plan later on in the calendar year.
The most significant issues are seen as:
- The gaining of employment for Autistic people
- Better information regarding Autism for everybody
- Targeted support for those with the condition
- Increased training for Autism support staff including understanding of needs
The council said of the report; "We want to continue to work with local people to implement the plan, harnessing our collective expertise to ensure the most effective use of local resources"
