(prHWY.com) December 11, 2012 - San Francisco, CA -- SAN FRANCISCO - CA Bayside Media Services announces the launching of it's new film and video related website
http://productionhotspot.com. The objective of the site is to make it easier for producers, production companies, and those involved in the industry find local film and video resources. Unlike other online film and video directories, Production Hotspot features an invited list of key players in each city, in the key categories. So while a local directory might feature thousands of listings, Production Hotspot features about 100 of the key film and video resources in each city. It's as if you had a personal referral service for each town you had to do business, and focuses on key categories such as; stages, camera rental, grip and electric, talent and casting, equipment rental, video post, audio post, original music and other key categories.
For local film and video professionals Production Hotspot serves as a local information hub. It features press releases from local companies about new gear, recent projects and other news interesting to locals. It also features an online photo gallery of people and equipment in the local industry. It has a local resource central section and here visitors can find information about local events, screenings, classes, announcements, professional groups, unions, guilds, film offices, schools, film festivals and more.
It also has a blog section that serves as an online magazine. It features tips and tricks and shortcut guides. It has interviews with local professionals, and in general serves as a source of updated information about what is going on in the local community.
Production Hotspot is just finishing its information for the San Francisco/Bay Area, it's first city. It will be rolling out soon to other cities, and will eventually feature key information from all the cities with a film and video infrastructure. The site is still in a beta testing phase and welcomes visitors to take a tour and leave feedback of what they would like to include. In 2013, it will also be rolling out a smartphone app for the site.
http://productionhotspot.com is up and running so check out the SF/Bay Area section and take a tour of the interface. The site's tag line is "film and video resources made simple".
