(prHWY.com) November 16, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- For decades, Sandy's Ultimate Chili recipe has been a mystery that only those who have been sworn to secrecy know. Even some of Sandy's closest friends and family members don't know the details of what is in the ultimate chili recipe, but that could all change with Sandy's newest challenge.

"I have decided to hide the details of my ultimate chili recipe in my business' records", said Sandy Travis. "I wanted to make this like a treasure hunt, where everyone is looking for the secret clues and treasure. I think I did my best to come up with a modern treasure hunt."

Sandy Travis took her ultimate chili recipe and wrote it out in code. Commonly used words such as chili, beans, meat and tomato sauce were all changed out. These words were replaced with other words that had nothing to do with chili.

"The idea is that someone in my company will be looking through the company's records and discover this recipe-like formula", said Travis. "Only when they really think about it and examine it will they realize that they have discovered THE ultimate chili recipe. This could mean that they are sitting on a potential gold mine."

When asked why Sandy had to code the secret formula the answer was fairly straight forward. Most of her company works using an e-discovery software program. In order to prevent people from finding the recipe in a few minutes she replaced common words with odd ones.

"The e-discovery software that we use has been an amazing discovery that turned the business around for the better", explained Sandy Travis. "However, it stood in the way of my treasure hunt. It wouldn't be a real treasure hunt if someone could just type 'chili' into the search field and find the recipe. So I changed a few things to make it fun."

The employees that work at Sandy Travis' chili factory are fairly excited about the prospect of discovering this recipe. Many of the employees have worked with the factory since it was founded in 1960.

"I have always tried to guess what was in the ultimate chili recipe", said Holly Bath, a longtime employee of Sandy Travis' factory. "No matter what I try I still can't discover what makes the recipe so great. Now I have a chance to finally see what makes this whole factory tick and what makes that chili just so darn yummy."
