(prHWY.com) October 15, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- There are two types of parents in the world. Those that find parenting extremely easy and just sort of go with the flow, and those that become extremely paranoid and wish to keep their child protected from the entire world. There is no right or wrong way to parent, but a new software development company has developed a new software program that can help parents who are extremely worried.
"Parents are always worried that something might happen to their child", explained software developer Bill Todd. "Someone might kidnap their child or their child might get lost. We have developed something that could help these parents."
Bill Todd has developed a fleet management software program that is commonly used by businesses to track shipments and trucks that are often on the road. This software program gives managers the ability to see where their trucks are, what they are doing and how everything is going. But this software may be able to be used by parents.
"Parents could ideally start to use this software program to track their child", explained Todd. "We aren't talking parents tracking 20 or 30 year old children. These are kids that really need to be protected from the rest of the world."
The
fleet management software program usually works with a GPS unit when working with a truck or delivery system. The children's tracking system would require the help of a different form of technology.
"We have developed a form of technology that can be implanted into the child's shoe, sock or backpack", explained Todd. "This technology can be started with a push of a button and it will allow parents to be able to track their child on a map."
Bill Todd hopes that this type of technology can really help parents who are concerned that their child might be kidnapped or get lost. Implementing this type of technology could help parents to find their children should this terrible event happen to their family.
"Parents would no longer have to worry about their family or children", explained Todd. "I think this would really give parents peace of mind. They can't be with their children every moment and this will give them a way to keep watch when they aren't around."
Bill Todd plans on launching a parent's version of the tracking system next year. Until that time parents can currently use the business version to help keep track of their children.
