Atlanta, GA - As part of it's mission to connect people, places, and palates, Go Eat Give is sponsoring Destination Lebanon: A Night of Food, Music, and Culture. As part of it's cultural awareness series, this local event, and fund raiser, is an opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in the food, music and culture of an exotic Mediterranean destination, Lebanon. This event is part of a series of events that allow attendees an opportunity to experience other cultures with out having to leave town.
The event takes place on Thursday, September 27th at 7:00 pm at Nicola's Restaurant, 1602 LaVista Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30329. During the course of the evening, Chef Nicola H. Ayoub will personally share with his rich tradition and cuisine. Attendee will be provided a multiple course family style Lebanese dinner, sampling most of the items off Nicola's menu. In addition, Chef Nicola will discuss his perspective on the country's tourism, politics and people during a piece "Lebanon, Then and Now."
Attendees will also have a chance to meet Hrair Balian, Director of the Conflict Resolution Program at The Carter Center. Mr. Balian recently visited Lebanon and will share his first hand experience of the political situation. The evening will conclude with an opportunity to learn how to dance to the famous Lebanese tunes.
Tickets are 25 dollars per person, and include a multiple course family style dinner, beverage, speakers, dance lesson, parking, and networking opportunities. Nicola's Restaurant is a Lebanese restaurant featuring Middle Eastern cuisine. Founded by Chef Nicola H. Atlanta cultural events and international volunteerism. Go Eat Give is dedicated to promoting worldwide understanding and cultural appreciation through community service, and shared culture including music, dance, and especially ethnic cuisines.
