(prHWY.com) August 17, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- Lucy Hibbert has never had any trouble finding a date for Friday night. A beautiful and accomplished marketing consultant who started her own company this year, Hibbert usually found herself turning down requests for dates. One jilted suitor, when asked why he wanted to go out with Ms. Hibbert, said, "You're kidding, right? She has the body of a goddess, the brains of a scientist and the comic timing of a vaudeville performer. What's not to love?" Another would-be suitor, who chose to remain anonymous, said "Lucy rejected me three years ago and I still cry myself to sleep."
The
savvy entrepreneur that she is, Lucy Hibbert wanted to get her company in the forefront of her industry. She decided that the best way to do that was to hire the services of a Seattle SEO company. Ms. Hibbert said, "When I first hit "send" on that exploratory e-mail, I just thought that I would get help in putting my company's website on the first page of Google. I never thought that I would meet Lee."
This Lee would be Lee Baldwin, the co-founder of one of the pre-eminent Seattle SEO companies. Lee said, "I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't excited to work with Lucy. I've heard good things about her and her business. That being said, the picture on her website wasn't too shabby, either."
Feeling both brazen and lucky, Lee decided to invite Ms. Hibbert out for a cup of coffee. "I told her that it would be strictly business. I had designs for a little more, but I wanted to remain professional in case things didn't work out that way." It turns out that "a little more" started with the discovery that both Lucy and Lee were rabid fans of The Discovery Channel's "Shark Week." Lucy said of the weeklong event, "'Shark Week' is the only reason I own a television."
Lee's invitation to Lucy to come over to his condo for a premiere of a 'Shark Week' documentary was the start of both a business and professional relationship. The same month that the website of Ms. Hibbert's company went to the first spot on Google's rankings, Mr. Baldwin proposed to his girlfriend with the help of a string quartet and the shark tank at the Seattle Aquarium. Ms. Hibbert said, "How could I say no? Saying no would be bad for business."
With Hibbert and Baldwin being the busy professionals they are, they held off on an immediate honeymoon. Hibbert said of the decision, "I had a lot of new prospects. Strike while the iron's hot, as they say. Besides, honeymoons are bad for business."
Don't worry. Lee Baldwin and the new Lucy Hibbert-Baldwin are planning a honeymoon for this coming Valentine's Day. The destination? Cape Town, South Africa. Lee said, "We're going cage diving with great whites. I've always wanted to do it and there's no one with whom I'd rather share this experience." When Lucy was asked how she would keep herself safe in a cage with great white sharks, she said "I'll find a way. Dying's bad for business."
