2000 released Blizzard a sequel to the popular game Diablo, and Diablo 2 was an even bigger success than the first game, mainly due to the intense multiplayer game that came on Battle.net. The undersigned was just one of thousands and thousands of players who spent hour after hour to kill Mephista, Diablo and Baal - the big three demons that was the game's main bosses - over and over again to get the best items.

2008 revealed Blizzard that the company was working on a new sequel, Diablo 3, and now 12 years after Diablo 2 game has finally been launched. So was it worth the long wait?

We have tested game in OS X Lion (10.7.3), and had no problems other than an occasional network failure, which lies with Blizzard's servers. On the support forums on Battle.net, there have been complaints about the performance of Macversionen, but it has worked well here. The test machine is quite powerful, so if you're sitting with the previous-generation MacBook Air or an older Macbook Pro, it might be a little worse. It is best to follow Blizzard's list of recommendations for Macs instead of the minimum requirements.

Same old story
If you've played Diablo 2, you'll find yourself at home in third gear almost immediately. Signed created a character and went right into the wilderness and began to slay the evil offspring of right and left without even taking a look at some "tutorials" or otherwise. Blizzard has clearly managed to maintain exactly the same feel as its predecessor and it does look as close to a monster, a piece of music or anything else tickle our nostalgia nerve.

This is both benefit and evil. It is nice to have a game that is far from iphone games typically leave - in Diablo 3, it is easy to get stuck for hours and completely forget about other things you should do - but it feels so familiar at once and where Diablo veterans just need a break to check out the new skill system. That you also may change your choice of skills at any time does not make it worse - this was something that was extremely important in Diablo 2 because one felklick could really damage your character.

But at the same time feels it is sometimes like Blizzard totally rely on past achievements. There is little really new in Diablo 3, and it is difficult for us, who played runner-up, saying something about how fun it can be for someone who did not.

Blizzard has managed to slightly better in Diablo 3 than in World of Warcraft to give even the female characters are full clothing. Several of the male characters are at least as naked as their female counterparts.

What story?
What? story? Well, Diablo games have yet an act, and third place takes pole position with ease in the franchise race to be the worst story. The previous games were not exactly known for their well-written script, but third-place felt right from the start as a real rush job.

Have you played its predecessor, will you hang out with, even if it is not exactly like reading a best-selling suspense novel, but if you are new to the world of Diablo Sanctuary, you'll either just be confused or irritable.

Conclusion
If you liked Diablo 2, you'll almost certainly like number three, too, and nostalgia value before us who were dedicated 'd2' fans can not miss. For everyone else, it is an ok action RPG (with the emphasis on action).

Note: We are aware that Blizzard has had major problems with Diablo 3 servers now just after the release of the game, and the undersigned has found it easier than most to play depending on the time difference (playing at night European time) - this review is based on the game itself and not these problems, which of course is annoying and frustrating, but we hope that Blizzard resolves within weeks.
