The present findings have revealed some important aspects about the AUF1 gene and its allied functions. AuF1 belongs to a family of four interconnected genes that sustains the chromosomal reliability by stimulating telomerase enzyme to carry out the repair function of the chromosomal ends.
This activity of AuF1 is found to alleviate inflammatory process, control of brisk aging mechanism and the initiation of cancer.
