In addition to providing a full line of medical billing options, National Billing Company will also provide state and federal consulting.

The change came about due to requests from prospective clients. "While our full lineup of services are perfect for many businesses, our sales staff heard from prospective clients who weren't quite ready to turn over all of their billing to a third party," says a representative from the National Billing Company. "These clients were looking for a consultant to work with from time to time, when they had specific questions that they couldn't find answers to on their own, and we determined that our products couldn't really fit that need."

The new consulting services should allow these clients to get the help they need from reputable experts at the National Billing Company. "Since we have representatives located all around the nation, we're in an ideal position to provide consulting," says the National Billing Company representative. "The rules can vary dramatically from state to state, and it can be hard for some companies to ramp up and learn all they'll need to know in order to provide consulting help. Since we're already well saturated and our staff is made up of industry experts, we're able to provide consulting almost immediately. Once we made the decision, we were ready to go."

The price for this service is still in development, but it's likely that the costs will be quite reasonable, given the history of the National Billing Company. For example, the company now provides a flat $2.99 per claim fee, which includes everything from submission to customer service.

"We do our part to keep prices reasonable," says the National Billing Company representative. "Since we work with smaller providers, who may not have extensive resources to spend on things like coding or consulting, we try to be as cost-conscious as possible. It's something our clients want, and we always aim to please."

The National Billing Company is HIPAA compliant, using encrypted computer lines and fax lines to communicate with clients. All information is completely confidential.
