San Jose CA. 3/14/2012 -- Asset Conversion Services Supports Sun T4 platform

(prHWY.com) March 15, 2012 - Grass Valley, CA -- Steve Harshbarger of Asset Conversion Services was quoted as saying "As I have said in the past, when we read the specs on the Sun/Oracle T4 platform, we could not sign up fast enough. Our method as a vendor of Sun products is to first invest in the memory, before investing in the platform. We know that the memory will work perfectly right out of the box and when we do start shipping in the T4-1, T4-2 and T4-4 Super Cluster we will be ready to upgrade them at a moment's notice.
We have also recently found out that what was very good (T4 specs) will now be great do to some new software developments by Sun/Oracle. We found out that Oracle Solaris Studio 12.3 which is the latest release of its C,C++ and Fortran development platform for building fast, scalable, secure and reliable enterprise apps for Sun/Oracle systems will be able to accelerate the performance of the SPARC T4 and x86 based applications by up to 300 percent by leveraging Oracle's advanced compiler technology.
Now with the combination of the newly released Oracle Solaris 11 and Oracle Solaris Studio 12.3 streamlines the creation of enterprise-critical applications with the security and agility necessary for public, private, and hybrid cloud services. This was pointed out by Don Kretsch, senior director of software development at Oracle."
When asked what capacities of T4 memory he was talking about, Harshbarger replied "we will start with capacities from 8gb to 32gb like the following examples."
