Fed up of hearing about unemployment, businesses going under, low incomes and fewer opportunities?
(prHWY.com) February 29, 2012 - North Yorkshire, NC -- Fed up of hearing about unemployment, businesses going under, low incomes and fewer opportunities?
If so, read on. There is a company in Selby, UK that has been celebrating recently as well as being in the local news.
What is the story?
This company,
Upton Vending ( Part of The Upton Group Ltd) , has just launched its own coffee idea - and the idea is called Passion de Café.
In fact, it seems that people are delighted by good news and want to join in the celebrations.
Even the visiting Member of Parliament, Nigel Adams, joined in the celebrations and came along to taste the new product.
The Passion de Café brand wants to bring high street coffee to vending machines, a move which will also enable the Upton Vending to expand into the high street and also different sectors of the catering industry.
The company was formed in the late 1960s by Alec and Janet Upton, and according to reports, employs some 70 members of staff.
The hub of the company is at the Selby branch. It also has depots in Scarborough and Hull.
It has grown partly thanks to buying two local companies over the last fifteen years.
The performance of the company has been recognised recently at the
Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards, as it has been nominated as a finalist in the Innovation Category.
It is strong and growing companies like this that put a smile on the faces of those who want a little good news about business prospects and growth.
