The importance of multilevel security.
(prHWY.com) February 1, 2012 - Boca Raton, FL -- This recent
news story on cheating, by 60 Minutes, got me thinking about exam security and the importance of multilevel security. A good exam security plan includes locking down the computer, controlling access to applications and local files, blocking access to the Internet, and having good, well-trained proctors. For security to work, you need multiple layers and you need to constantly evaluate your security protocols. Unfortunately, there is always going to be someone who tries to find a way around the security measures that you have put into place.
ExamSoft is a computer-based testing company that was incorporated in 1998, and since then, it has become a marketplace leader. It developed a 'store and forward' system to enable computer-based test administration in any facility, whether internet accessible or not. With this system, exam takers can use any computer, including their own laptop, to take the exam in a fully secure way. ExamSoft was founded with the goal of increasing
exam taker convenience by allowing them to use their computers, while satisfying exam administrator needs for security, technical compatibility, reliability and of course, usability.
