www.Ecolonomics.org), an international non-profit that promotes the synergy of ecology and economy, and Mountain Sky Group, LLC, today have announced the official staging of THE IDEA (The International Drive for Ecolonomic Action) 2011 - a new campaign designed to improve the Planet through promoting and empowering sustainable lifestyles in the United States and around the world through research, education, demonstration, and business development.
"With the launch of this very ambitious campaign, we have set ourselves several long, medium and short term goals with the ultimate aim of establishing The Center for Ecolonomic Excellence, designed to be the preeminent sustainable lifestyle research and training center in the world," says announces Dr. Dorband, CEO of Mountain Sky Group, LLC, a group of environmentally conscious companies that work in a variety of sustainable business areas including sustainable agriculture.
Among the events slated for the celebration of The IDEA, will be the inaugural staging of an Ecolonomic Festival,IDEA2011, scheduled for Earth Day weekend in April 2011 at Mountain Sky Ranch near Carter Lake. IDEA2011 will become an annual event that will promote sustainable rural living.
"We strongly believe that The IDEA will create an empowerment mentality for people throughout the world that are interested in helping people feed themselves," stages Dr. Dorband.
This event will draw visitors to the region from around the world. Activities associated with the event will include showcasing Mountain Sky Ranch as the new campus of The Center for Ecolonomic Excellence and the running of a 24-hour ultra-running event that is expected to attract up to 500 participants from around the world.
Melissa Morris, IOE Office Manager, believes that THE IDEA will allow her "to not have to choose whether to help a starving child or to help save the planet, because I can do both by supporting The IDEA."
