Florida Wholesale Sunglasses

(prHWY.com) November 18, 2011 - Rochester, NY -- Sunglasses are sold all over the world including the fabulous sunshine state of Florida! Living in New York I will be the first to admit that I wish I could spend more time down south in sunny Florida. The winters up here are brutal. Just as we are preparing for the snow season merchants in Florida are preparing for their busy season. Around mid November is when tourists begin their vacations and the retired folks head south to their condos. All that extra population means sunglass vendors are about to start their busy season. Personally I have been to Florida every month of the year. I have noticed that flea markets are more popular than shopping malls for customers looking for a bargain. I have counted up to 15 sunglass vendors at one flea market. Obviously business must be good enough to support that many vendors carrying the same product. I noticed one thing that was extremely obvious to me but not so obvious to the vendors who were selling sunglasses day in and day out. Every single sunglass vendor was selling the exact same sunglass styles most likely purchased from the same local Florida sunglass wholesaler.

The prices were extremely cheap as well, usually $5 per pair or 2 for $6. It's almost like these flea marketers were on a clock and they knew exactly what they were going to sell each day. There was no excitement! I feel bad for the customers at these flea markets, they had no variety.
This was such an obvious problem and an even more obvious solution. I did not solicit my wholesale business to every sunglass vendor at this flea market. I chose a couple of vendors whom I was able to have a nice conversation with. I introduced myself and my sunglasses. The couple of vendors I spoke to placed an initial order of around 10 dozen each. I also let them know that they do not have to compete with everybody there and sell Mass Vision sunglasses for $5 each. If a customer likes a pair of sunglasses (especially women) and they are not able to find them anywhere else they will have absolutely no problem paying $10 per pair. Guess what?, orders have been placed every week by these Florida sunglasses flea market vendors. At Mass Vision we do not put our company names on the boxes or sunglasses tags. Your customers or competition will not know where you have purchased your wholesale sunglasses from.

I want to emphasize that we do not only sell to flea market customers. I have customers who own beach stores, mall kiosks, gas stations or may just set up a tent on the side of the road.
