Surat, Gujarat, April 20, 2011: In what can only be described as a win-win situation for both students and educational institutions, Auro University has entered into a technical support agreement with the University of South Carolina (USC), USA. Surat's first private university, Auro entered into this partnership with the objective of gaining technical expertise and support in developing the course curriculum and delivering an international standard program in India
Auro University aims to build a curriculum that will help in preparing world class business leaders. The jointly developed curriculum will be delivered by a handpicked, research focused faculty which will ensure world class delivery focused onexperiential education.
Auro University is one of the few universities in India, which will have a full credit transfer policy. Eligible under graduate students after completing two years at Auro can transfer to USC to complete the last two years of their studies. Initially the university will offer a full-time 2-year MBA course along with a 3-year BBA program (4-year BBA program with exchange) and a 4-year BSc degree in Hospitality Management.
Auro' partner, the USC, has a number of awards to its credit. It was rated as one of the Top 10 'Most Promising and Innovative Schools' in the US in 2009 by the US News & World Report. Some of its colleges have made it to top of their respective fields. The School of Business is one such college whose undergraduate program in International Business was ranked #1 by the US News & World Report for the 12th time in 2010.
