The process begins with x-rays and impressions of the patient's teeth that are used to create a digital 3-D image. These steps allow the dentist to develop a treatment plan that is specific to each case including movement of the teeth throughout the process. Once the treatment plan is decided, a series of clear custom aligners are created. Invisalign aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable BPA-free plastic. There are no brackets or wires to irritate the cheek and gums as with traditional metal braces.

Invisalign aligners are completely removable by the patient. This means that they can be removed for eating, brushing and flossing or for special occasions.
