Forensic Science is a multidisciplinary topic, illustrating generally from chemistry and biology, but also physics, geology, psychology, social science, etc. It is also used as the name of the application of scientific knowledge to legal issues. The history of forensic technology goes back centuries. Fingerprinting was one of its first applications. In 1929 the first American forensic lab was created in Los Angeles by the police department.
