IIMP at a glance

Indira Institute of Management- Pune is affiliated to the University of Pune, recognized by the AICTE and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The flagship programs of IIMP are MBA & PGDM.

The MBA program is affiliated to the University of Pune. The admissions to same are done as per rules & regulations framed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (DTE). The two-year full-time post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) is an AICTE-approved autonomous course.

The number of seats offered for the MBA program for the academic year 2013-15 is 420. The fee for the program is Rs 3.2 lakh. The number of seats offered for the PGDM program for the academic year 2013-15 is 480. The fee for the program is Rs 5.5 lakhs.

IIMP students are placed in various companies with an average salary of Rs 3.84 lakhs, according to the institute. IIMP is ranked 73rd in the MBAUniverse.com B School Ranking 2013.

CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, JMET scores accepted

IIMP accepts CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, JMET scores for admission to its MBA and PGDM programs. IIMP has separate selection process for both its courses.

MBA selection process

The admissions to same are done as per rules & regulations framed by the DTE. Candidates are advised to do their registration for the GD/PI online with DTE, submit preferences of institutes, and get documents verification done at designation ARC centers allotted by DTE.

Following GD/PI and the students' preferences, the DTE will be putting up the merit list. Candidate will get admission to a suitable college as per his/ her merit and the preferences. IIMP is a part of CAP process and candidates desirous to get admission at this institute may give its name as their preference. However, the allotments (round wise) are done by DTE.

PGDM selection process

The merit list will be prepared with weightages as follows:

Criterion & Weights: Entrance exam- 50%, GD - 30%, PI - 20%, Total - 100
According to the institute, GD, PI and counseling will be conducted in following cities - Pune, Nagpur, Raipur, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Delhi, Baroda & Hyderabad on April 14, 2013. The process will take place in Pune on 22nd Feb, 8th & 22nd Mar and 21st April, 2013.

Placements

As per the institute, the average salary in the previous final placements was Rs 3.84 lakh while the highest salary was Rs 18 lakhs. Companies like Tata, Zee TV, Colgate, Godrej, Bharat Petroleum, Mahindra, Vodafone, Pfizer, TCS, Escorts, Aditya Birla Group, Essar, Gulf, etc visited the campus for placements and offered jobs to IIMP students.

Partnerships

HDFC Bank: IIMP along with HDFC Bank conducts a joint certificate program for its students in retail banking.

Oracle: IIMP students are trained by Oracle personnel for a certificate course.

Microsoft Corporation: Indira has an exclusive tie-up with Microsoft Corporation to conduct a joint certification program, Microsoft Trainee Associate.

Fun and Joy at Work, Mumbai: Dr R L Bhatia, CEO, Fun and Joy at Work, personally conduct grooming and personality development sessions for students. He also organizes & coordinates corporate interface for the institute.

HCL: IIMP has an agreement with HCL regarding company visits and final & summer placement.

Besides, the B school has accreditation agreements with TCS, Wipro Technologies, and IBM. These linkages provide excellent opportunities to students and faculty for study, research and other joint academic pursuits.
