(prHWY.com) January 11, 2013 - Dubai, FL -- Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Arwa Al Qassimi, Minister of Foreign Trade has discussed with Jamil Ahmed Khan, Pakistan's Ambassador to UAE means to promote bilateral trade relations between the two countries and to strengthen and increase the portfolio of the current trade.

During the meeting which was held here at the minister's office, Sheikha Lubna called on the Pakistani business community to take advantage of the re-export potential of Pakistani products from UAE to other destinations in Middle East, North Africa and Europe.

Sheikha Lubna proposed a single country exhibition of Pakistan in the UAE. She said that Pakistani entrepreneurs should take advantage of tremendous business opportunities offered by the UAE For his part, ambassador Jamil said Pakistan, with its geo-strategic location and deep-rooted ties with the UAE, has tremendous advantage in trade and commerce. It is heartening to note that the UAE has become the second highest destination of Pakistan's exports. The volume of bilateral trade with the UAE has increased to the tune of US$ 8.4 billion.

He further stated that the out-standing bilateral relations need to be translated into further increase in the volume of bilateral trade and investment particularly in the backdrop of shift of trade from West to the East. Pakistani ambassador extended her the invitation to attend Expo Pakistan 2013.
