(prHWY.com) January 9, 2013 - San Rafael, CA -- Eric Ochocki is pleased to announce that he will continue to support the Marin Artist Society. Eric has been a longtime supporter of the Marin Artist Society and believes it is a beneficial organization for artists in the community and all people living in the Marin County area.

Previously, Eric Ochocki has donated to the Marin Artist Society. He has been an active participant in shows and events that the society has put on as well. In 2011 he won third place in the Summer Open Fine Arts Show for his sculpture titled "Squabble," which is made of wood and rubberized lacquer. He hopes to enter a new sculpture in a future open art show at Marin Artist Society.

Marin Artist Society has been operating since 1927, and it was founded by a small group of craftsmen and artists to educate artists and provide a venue for selling great works of art. Today, the society runs its own gallery and has a member-base of over 450 people. The society also strives to provide a venue for amateur artists to sell and display their work. Monthly shows help to accomplish this goal. They also operate a rental gallery and a craft gallery.

The society contains a vast resource of skill and talent. Artists can come to the Marin Artist Society to improve their skills while creating numerous kinds of art. Some of the areas of expertise at the society are as follows: watercolors and oils, acrylics, abstract and realistic paintings, pastels, photography, sculpture, and more.

Eric Ochocki hopes to contribute to the sculpting aspect of the society. He has a strong background in sculpting and teaching art and design. He feels that the society could benefit from an increased focus on sculpting.
