One of the Top Esthetician Schools in Missouri Has Hairstyling Contest

(prHWY.com) January 2, 2013 - Springfield, MO -- Springfield, Missouri (December 4, 2012) - The Academy of Hair Design (AOHD), one of the most respected esthetician schools in Missouri, is challenging all aspiring hairstylists to join the "So You Think You Can Do Hair?" competition to showcase their styling skills. Participants get a chance to win up to a $5000 scholarship and Redken training.

Interested parties need only to submit a photo of a hairstyle or "up-do" they created, and then ask friends and family to vote for the photo. The participant who garnered the highest number of votes and won the judges' pick can win from $1000 to as much as $5000, plus a scholarship.

The submissions and voting for "So You Think You Can Do Hair?" competition will run until Dec 31st. The staff picks will be announced from Jan 1st to 4th and the final day of voting will be on Jan 31st.

In other news, as one of the finest beauty schools in Missouri, AOHD take pride in expanding their geographical footprints to Rwanda, Africa where their sister school has recently opened. They are also partnering with Africa New Life Ministries to support impoverished women in Kigali by providing pro bono education in hair design and styling.
