From Film to Finance - Christopher Bossa, CEO
From origins in film school to a career as a financier, Christopher Bossa, a former New York Film Academy student, has made it in the world of real estate.
(prHWY.com) December 29, 2012 - New York, NY -- Christopher Bossa began his development in an actual development room, working with film as a student at the New York Film Academy. From there, Christopher Bossa has moved into finance and real estate, tracking a career path that's also led him to a place in the New York Chamber of Commerce.
"Film was a really key thing for me," says Christopher Bossa. "The real key to a good film is in editing. Knowing what you need to keep, knowing what you need to cut, knowing exactly the parts and pieces you have and turning them into something watchable." Christopher Bossa has translated that shoot-for-the-edit mentality into a streamlined and simple system for business success.

Christopher Bossa may have started in f-stops, but he certainly took a detour on the F train that led him to Wall Street. "Finance crept up on me, but funding is key to a good film production," says Christopher Bossa, "You need a solid producer for a film project or everything is going to fall apart on set. That's how I really got my start in the world of finance."

As Christopher Bossa says, the key to a solid film is in the finance, but it's also in the quality of the story, and Christopher Bossa isn't lacking in a solid story either. From his beginnings as a little league soccer coach in high school, to his time at the New York Film Academy, to his business education in camera-friendly locations like London, Oxford, and Malaga, Spain, his current standing is the result of a long journey. Bossa's life has the gloss and sheen of a polished and professional production, but there's no fictionalization to his life. Not liking the limelight of a big-budget blockbuster life, Christopher Bossa now has more humble, honest roots in business and real estate investing. "I knew that the film life was too loud for me. I'm a professional, a private businessman, and the world of film doesn't have a lot of room for those types anymore."

While it may not have the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood show, Christopher Bossa has still found success at his real estate investing firm, which, coincidentally, has locations in filmmaking hotspots like New York City and Atlanta, GA. "It's a total coincidence," swears Bossa, "I didn't even know they shot stuff [in Atlanta] until I saw a film crew running down the street after a zombie!"
