Merry Christmas / Happy New Year From Trucking Consultants, Ahern and Associates

Christmas is a time to be thankful for what we have, not what we want. Christmas is a time to give instead of to receive; and Christmas is a time to thank family, friends and customers for their support.

Phoenix, AZ (prHWY.com) December 23, 2012 - Christmas is a time to be thankful for what we have, not what we want. Christmas is a time to give instead of to receive; and Christmas is a time to thank family, friends and customers for their support.

During this holiday season, I would like to thank all of my clients and readers for their continued support. Without your support, Ahern would not exist.

Additionally, I like to reflect on the many milestones we have achieved.

Thanks to you!

* This year Ahern was able to achieve record donations for the St. Mary's Food Bank thanks to our many corporate sponsors, such as Transport Investments, PGT Trucking, Premier Transportation, Personnel Leasing, Paschall Truck Lines, Fikes Trucking, The Benesch Law Firm, Christenson Transportation, Wil‐Trans,Inc., DHE, Inc., Ira Gaines Revocable Trust, CR England, Pat Gallagher, to name a few. Thank You!

* Ahern will be celebrating their 26th year in business, thanks to you, the customer - Thank you!

* Ahern continues to experience growth year in and year out thanks to a very talented staff - thank each of you for your support, loyalty and friendship.

* The Ahern Advisory Newsletter began its infancy in 1997 with 300 quarterly readers, and today has in excess of 450,000 weekly readers; Thank you!

* Ahern has been able to achieve longevity with its customers because they know we care. Thank you, once again.

None of the above could have been accomplished without you, the customer, or a very talented group of employees that "care".

Many times I am asked, what is a customer? To Ahern, a customer is the most important person in our business.

As you reflect on the end of the year and complete your business planning for 2013, remember that;

* We are dependent on the customer - the customer is not dependant on us;
* A customer should never be considered an interruption, they should be the purpose of it;
* A customer does us a favor when they call; remember without a customer we don't exist, and;
* A customer is part of our business, they are not an outsider.

Sometimes, I believe companies have a tendency to take for granted their customers; however, it is important to understand that a customer is not a cold statistic; he or she is a human being with feelings and emotions, like us. A customer is not someone to argue with or match wits with, but a customer deserves our attention, assuming they are a customer.

In my various newsletters, I have defined a customer/versus an acquaintance

* A customer is someone that pays their bills;
* A customer is someone that is appreciative of your service, and;
* A customer recognizes the sacrifices you make to satisfy their needs.

However, from a sales organizational standpoint, it is important to understand that more than 50% of a customer's experience is subconscious. How does the customer feel?

So, during the holiday season, remember that no one is perfect. A successful person/company has a guiding vision, a dream, a sense of focus as well as a clear idea what he or she wants to accomplish. One day teaches the other and we can change ourselves for the better if we focus on our goals. However, none of the above can occur without customers.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year. Thank you for 26 years of allowing Ahern to be part of the transportation community.

To QUOTE OF THE YEAR: "To touch one child's life in a positive manner is a blessing. touch many people's lives in a positive manner is a privilege." (Author - Andy Ahern)
