Usually, they'll have many free, downloadable patterns that will give you an idea of what to knit with your yarn. Most often, they'll offer a variety of patterns, from sweaters and home décor that can use the yarn you've already got, so you'll have a wide variety of free knitting patterns to choose from

Yarn and craft stores often give away free patterns when you buy yarn in their store.
