Universal Medicine was set up to bridge the virtues of self-care and self-love so that a greater capacity for well-being will be understood and thus seen as the possible missing piece in the struggles and afflictions of daily life. Serge Benhayon uses esoteric based healing modalities as a way to bring energetic integrity and responsibility back into the arts of healing. Universal Medicine is the provider of the esoteric based complementary practises as well as the educating body. This means that it set out to not only help in the way of healing but also to teach those interested in further helping themselves.

The whole concept and philosophy of Universal Medicine is underpinned by and with an enormous respect for mainstream medicine. And therefore, Serge Benhayon's business is not and never will be to provide an alternative to conventional medicine. Further, 'Universal Medicine' draws on each of those two comprising words in their more ancient definitions. The word 'universal' meaning all-encompassing and hence equality for all, and the word 'medicine' is used with deep respect to the forefathers of medicine and those throughout to the modern era who dedicated themselves to the ills of life.
