Dubai eGovernment honours GITEX team
Department achieves 80 per cent satisfaction rating from participating government entities

Valuing the tremendous efforts of Dubai eGovernment teams, especially the team that was responsible for the department's successful participation in the region's largest technology event, GITEX Technology Week 2012 that was held in October, Dubai eGovernment, led by Director General H.E. Ahmed Bin Humaidan, recently honored the members of this team for their valuable contribution.
At the start of the ceremony, which took place at Dubai eGovernment's headquarters at H.H. Dubai Ruler's Court, H.E. Ahmed Bin Humaidan welcomed Dubai eGovernment's staff, and expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the efforts exerted by all teams that contributed to the overwhelming success of Dubai eGovernment's GITEX stand, which hosted several Dubai Government entities.
Sumaia Hammad, Director of Communication & Business Development Department, and GITEX team leader, highlighted a set of achievements realized this year, in addition to projects that were displayed that contributed to achieving the broader goal of 'making life easier for customers'. Bin Hammad also added that Dubai eGovernment's preparations for hosting partners from government entities had begun early this year by forming teams of organizers and technicians in charge of the stand construction, which eventually led to delivering the image of an integrated government. She underlined the fact that this would not have been possible without the daily supervision and support of the department's senior management during the preparation phase, spearheaded by the Director General and Deputy Director General, who ensured that every single detail was implemented with utmost smoothness and transparency.
H.E. Ahmed Bin Humaidan then handed out certificates of appreciation to the GITEX team members, praising their performance, and urging them to start preparing for the next edition of GITEX.
Moreover, after the conclusion of GITEX Technology Week, Dubai eGovernment conducted a survey to gauge the satisfaction of participating government entities and the society segments. The survey indicated an 80 per cent satisfaction level for Dubai eGovernment's stand design and overall hosting. This honoring ceremony complements the one organised by Dubai eGovernment at the conclusion of GITEX 2012 where it honoured all its partners for the contributions towards Dubai eGovernment's success at the event.
