Denver, CO (prHWY.com) December 6, 2012 - Sofia Sondervan's career as a film producer stretches back a number of years. It was in 2003 that three of the films that Sofia Sondervan produced were released to theatres. The three films that started Sofia's Sondervan's career as a producer were Party Monster starring Macaulay Culkin, Rick starring Bill Pullman, and The Hebrew Hammer starring Adam Goldberg.

All three films released in 2003 put a date on when Sofia Sondervan could call herself an active film producer. Since the release of these films, Sofia Sondervan's name has appeared on a number of films as either a producer or executive producer. With the completion of each film, Sofia Sondervan is proud of her work and eager to start a new project.

One of the most popular films that Sofia Sondervan has produced so far was released in 2008. This was Cadillac Records. "The film is a historical drama that covers the era of the 1940s to 1960s," says Sofia Sondervan. "What brought about the success of this film was not only the actors but the amazing music." Cadillac Records starred actors Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, and Beyonce Knowles.
"The film was produced by Sony Music Film which is a division of Sony Music I founded in 2005," shares Sofia Sondervan. While there her mandate was to develop and produce films that had musical content aimed at the Sony Music catalogue. Cadillac Records received many accolades and was nominated for a Golden Globe.

While Sofia Sondervan's Cadillac Records didn't win the Golden Globe, it did win several other awards. Jeffrey Wright won Best Supporting Actor from the African-American Film Critics Association and the Black Reel Award. Cadillac Records also won Best Film and Best Director from the Black Reel Award Ceremony as well. It got nominated for 7 NAACP awards and Columbus Short won the NAACP award for best supporting actor. The film also won Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for "At Last" at the Grammy Awards. Beyonce sang the song for the first dance at the inaugural ball in 2009.
Like any film producer, Sofia Sondervan is excited when a film she has worked on receives recognition. This has encouraged Sofia Sondervan to continue producing. She hopes that other films will be equally if not more successful than Cadillac Records.
