Tablet Phone, Once Ridiculed, Now a Mainstream Reality - Chinavasion

The tablet phone was bashed by critics, claiming an identity crisis would cause the 'phablet' to go belly-up in due time.

Manufacturers have thus seized upon the market for android tablet phone models. New android tablets are coming out of the factories, each measuring four to six inches and coming with their own stylus.

"We at Chinavasion are quick to seize on the new markets," Li explains. "We've been in touch with local Chinese factories - the same ones that work on the phones offered by brands such as Samsung and Apple - and they're interested in cranking out tablet and phone hybrids."

"We then stockpile these tablet phone hybrids and ship them all over the world at wholesale prices."

"In the end, this can only mean good news for consumers."

Indeed. Apple, one of the biggest critiques of the Galaxy Note, has doled out its own iPad Mini. While the Mini isn't a tablet phone per se, this apparent turnaround is still a sign that consumers are looking for tablets in four to six-inch sizes.

And with wholesale retailers like Chinavasion offering similar phones at a fraction of their costs, the "phablet" will only see further growth with the passage of time.
