Schaumburg, IL (prHWY.com) April 19, 2011 - Hyundai and technology leader NAVTEQ have partnered in an effort to create a "green" navigation system designed for Hyundai cars. Hyundai announced the partnership with the world's leading producer of traffic navigation systems at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year. Chicago used Hyundai dealer, Patrick Hyundai, is thrilled to hear of the partnership, and is looking forward to seeing the all new navigation system from Hyundai and NAVTEQ.

NAVTEQ and Hyundai are working together to develop technology that will not only provide the shortest or fastest route for drivers, but will also provide the "greenest" route. NAVTEQ allowed Hyundai to use its very own digital map data, which provides information such as road inclines or declines, along with curvature of the road and altitude, all of which contribute to the amount of fuel used on a trip. The navigation system will take all factors into consideration when calculating a route, and will provide the route that will result in the least amount of fuel consumption. The navigation system will also be able to predict approximately when and where traffic jams will occur, and will re-route drivers according to this data.

Chicago used Hyundai dealer, Patrick Hyundai, is excited to see the all new Hyundai and NAVTEQ navigation system up close once it's released. Patrick Hyundai is one of the top Chicago used Hyundai dealers, offering a wide selection of new and used Hyundai cars in stock.
