Meat & Seafood Delivery Service Harter House Holds Food, Wine Tastings

Sprngfield, ME (prHWY.com) October 8, 2012 - Springfield, Missouri (September 28, 2012) - Harter House Meats, one of Missouri's preferred meat and seafood delivery services, is holding food and wine tasting sessions at its World Flavors branch. The company aims to showcase a number of products and the recipes that can be made with them.

Harter House Meats team of expert butchers is committed to selling quality products and also that of other manufacturers. For the initial sessions, the Harter House Meats crew rolled out a number of popular snack items and matched them with special dips. This includes the Sage Valley Yellow Corn Tortilla chips dipped in Mrs. Renfro'sâ„¢ Roasted Salsa, Snack Factoryâ„¢ Pretzel Chips in El Diabloâ„¢ Steakhouse Mustard, and Vintaâ„¢ Squares in Merktsâ„¢ Sharp Cheddar Cheese Spread.

The team also held an on-the-spot cooking demonstration. The chefs showed how to mix Chavrieâ„¢ Goat Cheese with avocado and to cook "red heirloom" fettucine pasta using DaVinciâ„¢ Fettucine, Columbusâ„¢ Prosciutto, and Dave's Gourmetâ„¢ Wild Mushroom Sauce.

It has been said that a fine bottle of wine often goes nicely with the dinner. The Harter House team proved it right with a number of wines. The $13.39 Thorny Rose Red Blend has hints of blackberry, raspberry, vanilla, and cocoa, plus sassafras and Graham crackers. The Thorny Rose Cabernet Sauvignon has blackberry, strawberry, cocoa, and spice overtones. The $13.29 California Monterrey County Loredona Riesling has lychee, citrus blossoms, and honey aromas and flavors.

Established in 1973, Harter House Meats carries a tradition of meat-cutting techniques passed down by the Bettlach family since the late 1800s. The meat delivery company intends to continue the food and wine tasting sessions with another event at Harter House World Flavors on November 1, 2012.
