Beaverton, OR (prHWY.com) September 17, 2012 - Queensland, Australia-Sep-12-2012 -- According to Microsoft Windows deployment marketing manager Michael Niehaus, Microsoft has yet again surprised Windows users by reducing the time it takes to install the new Windows 8 operating system. According to Niehaus, Windows 8 will be launched sometime in October, boasting a newly refined user-interface; its primary design purpose is to be more user-friendly and adaptable by older, less tech-savvy users. Moreover, Niehaus assures that Windows 8 will be able to support hardware engineered to work on Windows 7 machines, so hardware compatibility is a non-issue and users won't have to invest in purchasing new desktops or laptops. Compared to windows 7 which take around 15 minutes to install, Windows 8 installs in only 10 minutes. Furthermore, Windows 7 requires around 7 GB of hard-disk space, while Windows 8 requires only 7.76 GB.

However, one concern that users share is related to software compatibility. Third-party software developers will find themselves overwhelmed by a host of compatibility issues once Windows 8 is launched. While some have already begun working on developing patches for their software, many have not. According to data security expert Jonathan Ladd, one of the biggest concerns organizations share is the compatibility of windows 8 with their data security softwares, many organizations that deal with sensitive data are utilizing data encryption software to safeguard the privacy of their consumers or customers. Organizations will have a tough time deciding whether or not to upgrade to Windows 8, and if so, when? Organizations like New Softwares Inc, developers of Folder Lock which is a data encryption and data locking software has already been reengineered to work with Windows 8. According to Ian Murphy, marketing manager for New Softwares Inc, "We want to make certain that users of our security software products don't have to worry about their data's security when it's time to upgrade to Windows 8."
