Photography was his childhood passion and he collected imagery intelligence during his stint at US Air Force. His photography business was christened as Associated Photographers. Due to his efforts and passion, his small business soon emerged as the region's only color labs processing negative film in 1960.

As the demand for graphics increased in the US, the Associated Photographers also ventured into window and lobby displays and other stunning graphics related to marketing and advertising. The staff size at AP swelled to about 40 and they started meeting the photographic needs of the celebrities and top political leaders. In 1981, Art Apple's son Larry Apple took over as the president of their graphics company. Soon, he took his company to the heights of glory and acquired leadership in large-format commercial digital imaging.

It was renamed as Associated Photo & Imaging and Larry started using state of the art technology for digital imaging.
