LINQ Workshop Held At Sri Sukhmani Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dera Bassi

Chandigarh, India (prHWY.com) September 1, 2012 - Sri Sukhmani Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dera Bassi in collaboration with Soft Solutions, a Chandigarh based leading software development company organized one day LINQ Workshop on 28 August, 2012. Mr. N.S Julka, the training and placement officer of Sri Sukhmani Institute of Engineering & Technology was also present on the occasion of this one day workshop. The topic of the workshop was LINQ that stands for Language Structured Integrated Query. The students became aware of standard query operators also known as standard sequence operators which is used directly in the language. Through LINQ you can easily filter the data into arrays, enumerable classes, XML, relational database, etc. You do not have to generate any classes or library. They are automatically generated when you drag your table into "LINQ to SQL classes" by using Disconnected Approach.

Practical session was also demonstrated. The purpose of the practical session was to create the awareness among the students about the implementation of the LINQ and its the benefits over the ASP.Net concepts. The students relished the subject of discussion as it added into their factual knowledge. The lecture was delivered by Gurpreet Singh, Project Manager of the company accompanied by Bhavnish Bakshi. More than 150 students attended the workshop.

After completion of the workshop, one of the students who attended the workshop remarked, "The workshop was exhilarating on the latest trends in the IT Industry and entirely different than the other workshops held so far, as the company fully focused on delivering the practical knowledge."
