New York, NY, NY (prHWY.com) August 29, 2012 - New York, NY, August 29, 2012 -- ReaderDock announces the launch of the "I Want My Google Nexus 7 ReaderDock!" petition aimed at drawing attention to the lack of docking and charging stations for the Google Nexus 7 android tablet.

The petition is causing quite a stir online -- leaving many Nexus owners waiting impatiently for a suitable line of of accessories to be available for their Google android tablet. Nexus owners can sign the petition by going to http://bit.ly/RH0g5C.

ReaderDock launched both their Barnes & Noble Nook Color/Tablet and Amazon Kindle Fire speaker docks in March 2012, and is now targeting the Google Nexus 7 to add to its tablet docking station line up.

The lack of a Nexus docking station is making it difficult for users to listen to music, watch videos, view photos, listen to audio books or simply read books hands-free and customers are demanding more for their investment.

It's well known that the Google Nexus 7 is the and long-awaited and first Android tablet officially endorsed by Google. It runs the latest version of Android, Jelly Bean (4.1), which brings many revolutionary new features such as Google Now to Android. All this power is now available in a polished, fast, capable device that is at the same time inexpensive by tablet standards. At its current sale price of $199 for the 16GB version ($249 for the 32GB version) it costs the same as the Kindle Fire yet is faster, sports a camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and runs the full blown version of Android that gives the user access to the entire range of Android apps available on Google Play.

By contrast the Kindle Fire runs a highly restricted version of Android and only a small numbers of apps is made available by default through the Amazon App Store. As a result the Nexus 7 can play a much wider range of movies, TV shows, music, games, and more than the Fire, INCLUDING all the content the user would have access to on a Kindle.

"We launched this petition to find out from Nexus owners if they want a ReaderDock for their tablet. We expect huge growth in Nexus 7 sales and expect to be the first - again - with a dock specifically designed for the Google Nexus. " says Gina Kearney of ReaderDock.

ReaderDock continues to be the only speaker dock for NOOK and the leader in Kindle Fire docks. And now, ReaderDock (http://www.readerdock.com) is leading the charge to unite Nexus owners to sign and share an online petition and demand more options for their Google tablets.
