Private Kilimanjaro Announces Latest Charity Expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro

Dunstall, Burton upon Trent, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) August 28, 2012 - United Kingdom, 28th Aug 2012 - Private Kilimanjaro, the leading adventure tour operator, has just announced yet another charity climb Kilimanjaro challenge that they will be helping to organize. A group of friends from Yorkshire-Dave, Nick, Lee, Mark and Josh are Trekking up Kilimanjaro for Macmillan Cancer Support and Private Kilimanjaro will be helping them in completing this extraordinary feat.

Private Kilimanjaro is a fully insured and bonded ABTA member that has been organising successful treks to Mount Kilimanjaro since 2004. They specialise in arranging private and group Mt. Kilimanjaro climbs and Kilimanjaro Charity Challenges. The adventure outfit is also engaged in arranging treks up Mt. Meru and in the Ngorongoro Highlands; private safaris in all of the Tanzanian National Parks as well as beach breaks to Zanzibar, Pemba and the Mafia Islands.

One of the climbers- Nick explains: "The team is paying for their own travel and our main focus is to raise the money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We hope that businesses can get behind us and help us reach our goal. This might be through sponsorship of raffle prizes. We have some great ideas of how to give our sponsors the recognition they deserve."

David, a Project Designer from Doncaster, came up with the idea for the September 2014 trek, he said: "After nearly killing ourselves climbing England highest peak, Scar fell Pike we decided to attempt the grueling trek up Africa's Highest Mountain Kilimanjaro and of course we want do it in aid of a good cause, I'm forever hearing about Macmillan's good work and almost everyone is touched by cancer at some point in their lives''

The group together is hoping to raise a staggering £40,000 for the Macmillan Cancer Support organisation. Private Kilimanjaro will be playing its part in the expedition by providing their expertise and knowledge in making this climb successful. Their goal is to help the group summit safely, have a great Kilimanjaro charity climb and raise as much money as possible for the cause they support.

Jane Deakin, the owner of Private Kilimanjaro, stated "Climbing Kilimanjaro is the most fantastic charity challenge and each year sees fundraisers come up with crazy new ways to make climbing Africa's highest summit even more fun. To encourage more of these wonderful fundraisers we have given away free climbs in our annual charity challenge competition. This year we gave away a free climb worth £1395 each to these great ideas. We extend our whole hearted support to Nick and his gang and hope that the climb gets the results they are hoping for."
