Los Angeles, CA (prHWY.com) June 2, 2010 - Tracey Paleo, owner and director of boutique media company, GiaMedia3, has enlisted its client Private Ballet LA to support the Los Angeles Youth Network, an organization, who, for the last 25 years has helped L.A. homeless teens "get off the street."

"I had a special interest in this organization," says Ms. Paleo. " My parents took in many runaways and teens with no where to go, over the years. We sheltered and raised a lot of other people's children. Mostly 13, 14 and 15 year old boys, often living in cardboard shacks, or underneath abandoned bridges and railroad tracks, who were befriended by my two brothers. We were urban kids. We saw a lot of this kind of stuff. It was heartbreaking. My mother just couldn't let them stay on the street. "

LAYN is in preparation for its 25th Anniversary Gala taking place at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, on June 10, 2010. The organization's event director, Allison Fuller has high hopes of lengthening LAYN's outreach by attracting bigger sponsors, with the help of celebrity hosts and guests during the evening with a dinner, dancing, awards and silent auction program.

Private Ballet Los Angeles has donated to the silent auction, is appearing in the gala journal, has offered a full year of ballet classes for the kids and along with GiaMedia3 calling around to its private contacts to create more awareness for LAYN.

Private Ballet Los Angeles is the current home of LA's up and coming, choreographer and dance instructor Michael Cornell, who, last year, debuted his new pas de quatre, 'Dark Matter' , a short ballet inspired by CERN and danced by four Hollywood starlets.

Ms. Paleo and Mr. Cornell have been collaborating on many producing, dance and film projects together since early 2009 and have recently united GiaMedia3 and Semplice Pictures, Mr. Cornell's producing arm to create a stronger brand presence for GiaMedia3 which is based in Los Angeles.

Each night, as many as 10,000 homeless youth will sleep on the streets of LA. On the streets they will fall victim to prostitution and drug abuse, HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Without intervention, they grow up to become welfare burdens at best. At worst criminals.

Founded in 1984, The Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) is a 501c (3) not-for-profit agency whose mission is to end homelessness one kid at a time by providing shelter, food and counseling to the abused, neglected and abandoned. LAYN targets runaway, homeless, and system youth ages 12-17, in Los Angeles County.

LAYN's mission is to empower homeless adolescents to become self-sufficient. LAYN accomplishes this goal by providing street outreach, food, emergency shelter and transitional living programs, with a professional, caring staff in nurturing a safe environment. The goals for each child are to successfully complete the permanent transition away from street life to a safe and secure living environment and to fully participate in society.

Honored at the gala will be Gensler Architecture and Design Consulting Firm, Dr. Lisa Newell and Stand Up For Kids.
