Coral Springs, FL (prHWY.com) February 7, 2011 - After many years in Dania Beach, FL, the group has found a new home for "Yoshiko's Dojo" - named after the group's founder, Yoshiko Cane. The new dojo is roomier and still very convenient for the Fushu Daiko community, as it is located on I-595 and University Drive, near the Florida Turnpike, SR84, and I-95. The group is pleased to have formed a relationship with its new landlord, The Davie Commerce Center.

The new dojo comes on the heels of Fushu Daiko's reorganization as a non-profit under the name Japan Arts Inc.

"As the 'Year of the Rabbit' begins, we are excited about leaping ahead, making a fresh start in our new dojo and creating more energy around our organization. The new space will allow us to expand the art forms that we can include in our training programs, as we strive to create a South Florida haven for the preservation and training of the Japanese performing arts," said Jennifer Hoffman, performing member of Fushu Daiko. Additional art forms may include koto (the beautiful Japanese harp), Japanese calligraphy, and performance art like shishimai (the lion dance).
