Actor Josh Duhamel Guests on Animal Radio

Actor Josh Duhamel will guest host America's most-listened-to pet talk, Animal Radio®, on Saturday June 23rd, noon eastern on XM Satellite Radio channel 166 as well as 101 AM/FM affiliates.

Los Angeles, CA (prHWY.com) June 23, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA, June 23, 2012 -- Actor Josh Duhamel will guest host America's most-listened-to pet talk, Animal Radio®, on Saturday June 23rd, noon eastern on XM Satellite Radio channel 166 as well as 102 AM/FM affiliates.

Josh wasn't planning on becoming an actor, but after being short on credits to go to dental school, he was discovered by a modeling agency and even beat out fellow model Ashton Kutcher for a place as a top model. Modeling eventually gave way to acting, where he starred in the daytime soap opera All My Children. Next was a part in Win A Date With Tad Hamilton! And then Josh landed one of the starring roles alongside Oscar-nominated James Caan in the television series Las Vegas.

After being scolded by a fellow member of Las Vegas for buying a dog, Josh knew his next dog would be a rescue. So when he was ready, he had a rescue organization bring a dog to his home to see how they would get along with his current dog, Zoey. Josh was told that the dog was a great athlete, and as if on cue, he stated, "The dog got stuck between the coffee table and the stairs... so we knew he wasn't very athletic!" Josh is currently teaming with PetSmartCharities to promote their "High-Five For Pet Adoption" Campaign and celebrating their 5 millionth pet adoption.

Duhamel is part of the Animal Radio's Season of Stars, which has included Glenn Close, NBC's The Office Jenna Fischer, Ed Asner, Gary Burghoff, Saturday Night Live's Victoria Jackson, Kristin Chenoweth, Carrie Ann Inaba, Elayne Boosler, Eddie Money, Ed Begley, Jr., Betty White and Davey Jones.
