Colonel Beermann Speaks at East Hartford Chamber of Commerce on June 18th, 2012

The East Hartford Chamber of Commerce will present Colonel Ahmed Beermann for a provocative and memorable discussion of one man's unique and heroic service as an interrogator in the War on Terror.

East Hartford, CT (prHWY.com) June 14, 2012 - East Hartford, CT, June 14, 2012 -- On June 18, 2012, The East Hartford Chamber of Commerce will present Colonel Ahmed Beermann for a provocative and memorable discussion of one man's unique and heroic service as an interrogator in the War on Terror. Beermann was involved in some of the highest profile captures in the War on Terror and Operation Enduring Freedom and will share the impact it's had on the average patriotic American.

This Breakfast Series event will be hosted at Goodwin College, One Riverside Drive, East Hartford, and is sponsored by AT&T. The V.I.P. breakfast will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be limited to 100 participants followed by a presentation in the Goodwin Auditorium.

This event is open to all Chamber Members and to the general public. The cost is $35 for the breakfast, including the presentation and $20 for the speaker presentation. Colonel Beermann, among other assignments, was the Battle Field Interrogation Facility Commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Colonel Beermann became an integral contributor in the capture and killing of 15 former Iraqi regime blacklisted targets, including Saddam Hussein, the former President of Iraq, whom he personally debriefed.

Major General David Scott, Deputy Director, of the Center for Special Operations (SOCOM) said of Col. Beermann "Ahmed is a national treasure... [His] experience and expertise has had significant national-level impact..."

Colonel Beermann is a Facilities Manager for the Board of Regents at the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities. He recently returned from a 10-year leave of absence while he served his country in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other locations. He holds a Masters in Architecture from the University of Houston, and is an "Excellent Graduate" of the War College, located at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama.

The East Hartford Chamber of Commerce is a membership-based organization representing a diverse number of companies that conduct business in or with the East Hartford community.
