Enhancing Our Ability to See Hinders Our Ability to Imagine: Are Images Burying the Written Word?
Technology Is On Its Way To Making The Art Of Reading A Tangible Book Obsolete. We Find Ourselves Reading Text On Screens, But Will Movies Completely Replace Reading In The Future?

All artists have that innate urge and fire that makes them crave discovery. However, not every artist has what it takes to propel their image to the media forefront, which is why many opt for visual aids in order to get their work seen and heard. With book trailers gaining rapid popularity, one must stop to wonder if images have buried the significance of the written word.
Writers are most likely to shy away from the spotlight when it comes to the actual promotion of their work. But that does not mean that they do not believe in their work, and it does not take away their desire to be the next best thing and to be read worldwide. However, while writing, writers don't concentrate on the promotion of their book or on whether it would actually get published.
What writers are basically concerned with is the plot structure, how the characters develop, whether they are relatable or not and how they can throw in a satisfying twist and climax into their tale to make an awesome ebook covers. They want their books to rest on shop shelves and have millions of people become drawn to it because the material is brilliant, deep and intense.
However, this is the equivalent to living in fool's paradise because in the very public world of today, there is no such thing as a silent success. In today's world the only way anybody becomes a success is if their essence is over pervasive, is over hyped and is oversaturated.
In today's world parents fund their children's 'artistic ventures' just to make them feel good about themselves, despite the quality of the work in book cover designers. Fan-fiction and canon oversells because people cannot get enough of a good thing. And amidst this entire hubbub, the true writers, geniuses and potential revolutionaries quietly get shunned into the background, and the chances of true discovery are as rare as finding a needle in a haystack.
Book trailers, if viewed positively, can help these fading artists emerge into the spotlight and claim their much deserved appreciation and fame. It would help bring out their work to the public eye where it would get noticed and in turn help the author's dream come true. They are a good way to revive the dying art of reading, and can help discover the next JK Rowling or JRR Tolkien. All writers have to do is to embrace change and it would help propel their talent forward to Book Cover Designer.
