Bloomberg bans 'super-size' sodas in New York

Many previous studies have proven the association of sodas with hypertension, obesity and heart ailments and the current plan of the ban by the New York mayor is a really an important measure with respect to public health concern.

Fontana, CA (prHWY.com) June 4, 2012 - 4 June 2012,USA(Realpharmacyrx.us): The administration of Mayor Bloomberg has recently projected a new legislation for banning the 'super-size' sugary sodas or cold drinks that are usually served in amounts higher than 16 ounces in cups in the New York region.
If this proposal is being accepted, than New York City will be the first region in the whole country and probably in the world to impose a 16-ounce restriction for all sugar sweetened beverages that has gained increasing popularity in food courts and other allied establishments.
This ban on the 'super-size' soda is found to have a very severe effect on the movie theaters, arenas, mobile food carts, stadiums and restaurants, as these places provide sugar drinks in an extremely large sized paper cups.

Although, this approach may have significant impact on the financial assets of the food courts but it has been found to be a move towards improving health conditions. It is regarded to be a great step made by the government to encourage healthy food intake as from decades the consumption of drinks and foods have gone out of proportion.
The decision has come at the right time where thousands of individuals are falling prey to grave clinical condition and the major cause of this rise is the eating habits and consumption of high fat, sugar rich and nutritionally deficient food items.
