Talking Polar Bear Predicts Cruise Member's Future

The polar bear -- having never come in contact with humans before -- started waving down the ship, and calling for people to come closer.

Seattle, WA (prHWY.com) May 30, 2012 - Tea leaves, constellations, planets aligning - all of these things have been known to help people predict the future, but up in the great white north there could be a new fortune teller, a polar bear.

"There is a real interest in being able to tell the future", said Antarctica cruise director, John Collins. "When we came across this talking polar bear we were shocked, I mean how many polar bears do you know who can talk? But then to see it could tell the future that was just icing on the cake."

The cruise director's first encounter with the fortune telling polar bear came back in 2011, when the cruise ship steered off course, and passed a huge iceberg that was home to the polar bear. The polar bear -- having never come in contact with humans before -- started waving down the ship, and calling for people to come closer.

"It was the weirdest thing", said Collins. "The bear was yelling these random phrases at the people on the ship, and like beaconing people over to him so he could talk to them. It was a little creepy, and then we realized he was spewing out predictions to the people and it got really scary."

No one on the ship believed the predictions, and brushed the polar bear's sayings off as endless babble, until a few months later. The cruise director started getting phone calls from the people on the ship stating that what the bear said really came true.

"I was on the ship and the bear said I would meet the love of my life and be married in three months", said cruise member, Sally Utters. "I wasn't even dating anyone at the time, and three months later I'm happily married. There is something about that polar bear."

Other members of the cruise ship had their predictions come true. A couple who was trying for a child ended up pregnant, and a man looking for his long lost son was reunited with his son. All of these predictions were ones the bear made.

"It really is amazing", said cruise director Collins. "I decided that it was so amazing that we are now making two trips a year up to see the great talking polar bear, and both of this year's trips are completely booked. Everyone wants to see what the bear will predict for their future, and the 99% success rate makes it pretty darn certain it'll come true."
