Festival of Folk Arts in Budapest, 19-21 August, 2012
The Festival of Folk Arts is the most significant forum for living folk culture in Hungary.

In these workshops you can try and learn the trades: e.g. wood carving, making musical instruments, embroidery, pottery making, weaving, smithery, egg painting etc. If you would like to take home traditional Hungarian souvenirs, the fair at the festival is a good place to buy them.

Venue : Royal Castle in Buda's Castle District
Opening Hours : 10.00- 23.00 every day between 19th - 21st August, 2012
This year egg painting, candle making and honey cake making will be in focus.
Besides the workshops and fair there are many other programs to entertain you, artists from all around the world perform folk dances and folk music. Every evening you can dance to a different nation's folk music.
Children won't be bored either, there'll be plenty programs for them, as well:
* puppet-shows,
* story-telling.
In the children's dance hall they can learn dancing in a playful way.
The Opening Ceremony of the festival will take place at 11.00 on 20th August.
