INTERSOLAR INDIA 2010 - An event which has participation from more than 143 exhibitors all over the world from the solar industry
INTERSOLAR INDIA, a 3 day International Exhibition on Photovoltaics and Solar Thermal Technologies will commence its second edition of India's International Conference and Exhibition for the Solar Industry at the Bombay Exhibition Centre
Along with the exhibition, a high profile conference will take place with participation from Indian and international solar professionals across the globe. Intersolar India Conference will showcase the latest developments in solar energy technology, including manufacturing, markets, applications, finance and policy. The conference, which will be held from 13-15 December 2010 at Hotel Leela Kempinski, will host about 700 international and domestic delegates. Both the exhibition and the accompanying conference are excellent opportunities for the members of the Indian solar industry to strengthen their network and business.
With over 3,000 exhibitors and 100,000 plus visitors spanning three continents, Intersolar is the world's leading exhibition-series for the solar industry. Prof. Juzer Vasi on behalf of the National Centre for PV Research and Education at the Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai which is part of the National Solar Mission will talk about long-term issues related to R&D and education which could become a bottleneck if they will not be addressed quickly. R&D and Education & Training are the vision & mission of National Centre for PV Research and Education at the IIT Bombay.
Another highlight is the panel discussion with well-known specialist such as Inderpreet Wadhwa, CEO of Azure Power (Project Developer), Petra Leue-Bahns, CFO of Ecosolutions (Finance), Dr Mohan Bhan, VP Thin-Film of Moserbaer (Technology), Dr. Rabindra Satpathy, President Solar Business at Reliance), Mr. Harbans Lal Bajaj, former chairman of Central Electricity Authority and ex-officio Sect. Govt. of India and Debashish Majumdar, CMD of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA)). Within the discussion, panellists will give answer to the question: "How can India Become One of the Largest Solar Markets in the World? - What are the Barriers and How to Overcome Them to Meet India's 20 GW Ambitions? In future, will India become both a Market and Supplier?"
