The Island is conductively located on the tropical tip of Texas, and is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre Bay. It has beautiful beaches, warm Gulf waters very good for fishing, boating and bird watching. The place is also a shopping haven providing an assortment of stuff and activities for every visitor. As the days wind down with breathtaking sunsets over the bay, night clubs and restaurants come alive with conversation, dining, music and dancing. Many restaurants will even cook visitors' fish catches when presented.
