Glasgow, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) April 20, 2012 - Following the installation of Kahrs bespoke walnut flooring in the University of Ulster Diamond Hall, Kahrs has won the conservation and restoration category in the 2011 Wood Awards.

The hall features many stunning original features including battens, panels, veneered doors and acoustic panels. The American Black Walnut flooring is a stunning addition and has enhanced the room greatly restoring it to its former glory.

David Samuel of First Floors says 'It's not surprising that Kahrs won this award, they offer stunning, sustainable flooring and this was the ideal project to showcase this product. It is not only compliant to and EN standards, it is also designed to provide optimum shock-absorption. At First Floors we find that this type of flooring is laid much more quickly than other battened floors and with a satin lacquer finish it's incredibly easy to maintain.'
