Motorola Defy Mini v Sony Ericsson Xperia Active
Clove Technology specialise in mobile technology and smartphones and are one of the leading UK distributors of android mobile phones, Acer smartphones, Blackberry, HTC, HP IPAQ, Samsung, and PDAs.

The Motorola Defy Mini is a slimmed down version of the popular Motorola Defy range, which despite being smaller in stature does not skimp on features.
It is slightly lower spec than its big siblings, but is still a very well performing phone that has been designed to be cost effective.
It's a Google Android smartphone, running on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. It has a 600MHz processor, which means it's great for those who want to browse the internet, make calls and emails and keep up to date with friends on social networks, although it's not capable of high-end mobile gaming.
With a 3 megapixel rear camera it's capable of taking decent snaps, and there's a front facing VGA camera for video calls. The screen is 3.2 inches and HVGA touchscreen, meaning it's easy to control and a decent size for browsing the internet and viewing your emails. The smaller screen and the 1650mAh battery mean that the phone will last for a long time on one charge.
It has a micro SDHC slot so you can store lots of photos, music and so on, up to 32GB.
One of the key themes of the Motorola Defy range is being life proof, and the Motorola Defy Mini is no exception. It has scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and is resistant to both water and dust, so that means it can cope if you like to work and play hard.
Being able to keep up with your active and busy lifestyle is also a core factor of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active (as the name suggests).
It has a three inch touchscreen that is resistant to both water and dust, meaning that even in tough conditions it will operate perfectly. Wet finger tracking means that even in the rain you'll be able to use the touchscreen with ease.
The screen is clear and brings colours out nicely, and its 5 megapixel camera and HD recording capacity mean you can capture all your activities to relive with your friends later.
The phone comes with a gear kit including a stereo headset with attachable ear hooks, arm straps and wrist straps so your Xperia Active can perform along side you. There are apps included that can help monitor your training too.
With a micro SD slot meaning you can expand the storage capacity up to 32GB, there's plenty of room to store all your music, videos and the like.

Both these tough little phones are available from Clove Technology.
The Motorola Defy Mini is £162 including VAT.
Clove are selling an ex-display model of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, which is in perfect working order, for £270 including VAT.
