Right Trader Launches New Local Trader Search Service In The UK.
With a plethora of search services for domestic trades providers on the market, you might be wondering if there is room for another one. After all, it's been a big year for some of the established players such as Rated People.

"We're trying to offer a good service where we put people who are looking for household services in touch with local tradespeople. We rely on the customers to provide feedback - but only customers who have actually used the services of that trades person." says Tom. "That way we can significantly reduce the number of false testimonials that come from traders and their competitors that are such an unfortunate aspect of some of the other trade search websites."
The other major difference between Right Trader and it's competitors is the pricing model. There is no monthly membership fee, just a pay per lead fee and an optional SMS alert service. In fact, until April there isn't even a charge for the leads.
"Having looked at the market, we felt that some of the other website were charging an incredible amount of money to the tradespeople, sometimes many thousands of pounds per year." says Tom.
"Most tradespeople simply cannot afford these services and having spoken to hundreds of them there is a certain amount of resentment towards the larger players. Tradespeople feel that they now have a middle man with the large resources paying for the top slots on Google and squeezing them out. There simply is nowhere else to go to get new customers but through them. We are hoping to change that and so we have put in a pricing structure that we think is fair and will attract traders with smaller advertising budgets."
"We are still generating some fantastic leads though from all areas of the service industry. Loft conversions and garden landscaping are surprisingly buoyant in London and the South East. We've had a lot of requests for roofers in Scotland because of the recent high winds and the call for domestic cleaning is popular throughout the country despite the recession."
The site looks clean and professional, works very quickly and is already populated well with trade providers. "We're building new functionality all the time.", says Project Manager Rakesh Singh. "This month we're launching the trade directory that gives each member a free website page to list their services and testimonials, provides their contact details and puts a link back to their own website to help with their own web presence."
Next month sees the addition of a new forum to allow traders to interact with the general public and answer some of their questions about DIY or specialist questions that only an experienced trader is really qualified to answer.
"We're trying to build a community where tradespeople get a fair deal on their advertising costs and gain new local customers. And for the home owners and business owners where they can get access to reliable, experienced, knowledgeable people who provide domestic services', says Tom.
"Time will tell how successful we are but I really think if enough service providers get behind us, we can give the big companies a run for their money and reduce the cost of leads and acquiring new customers for every trades person in the UK."
Formed in 2011, Right Trader already has 4000 trades people across the UK and officially launched on April 3rd. It's the new site for finding local tradespeople in your area. From plumbers, electricians and carpet fitters to cleaners, gardeners and scaffolders, Right Trader has the right trades person for you.
