Austin Family Concerned for Their Safety After Austin Police Officer Leaves Cryptic Intimidating Message with Mother and Baby

CA, Taiwan (prHWY.com) March 12, 2012 - 12.3.2012 Austin, TX - What started as a normal court hearing for a charge of "failure to comply with a lawful order", ended with the arresting officer, Jason Mistric (#4856), cryptically passing an intimidating note to Catherine Bleish, partner of the defendant, Austin activist, John Bush.

The papers tossed next to Catherine by Mistric were print outs of facebook screenshots of posts and comments regarding the arrest. To make matters stranger, the facebook account used to obtain the screenshots was that of Max Rock, a profile that local activists had suspected of being a police officer. In the months prior to the hearing, Max Rock, who those involved believe to be Officer Jason Mistric, had been friending and cyber stalking Catherine and other Austin activists. Officer Mistric has a history of intimidation and bully tactics and the family is concerned for their safety. They plan to file complaints with Internal Affairs and are considering filing a restraining order to ensure the situation is not allowed to escalate. Catherine said of the matter, "I'm not sure what to make of it. Is he stalking me? Is he threatening our family? Was he acting as a rogue officer or was this part of his work? Creepy. To the max."
